Yes or No to premarital sex?

Yes or no to premarital sex can be a tough question. But before answering you must consider your country, culture and political scenario. There are pros and cons for everything, be it democracy or dictatorship. Same goes for judgement or opinion regarding premarital sex. We love to give our opinions but seldom think whether we ourselves are going to follow those. So question is not what others should do but what we would choose to do. If I say yes to premarital sex young generations would become my fan and similarly if I say no to premarital sex elders of my generation would find my statement more justified. Although it is the righteousness that decides the merit of an act, acceptability is undoubtedly a factor too. We can not preach something where listeners don't understand our language.

So if you ask me whether I am for or against premarital sex I would say do whatever you like. Because you're responsible for your actions, not me. You'll experience whether it is pain or pleasure, not me. But if I am your guardian I would request you to reconsider having some patience as they say that fruits of patience are sweeter. Have a clear conscience, have safe sex and please use condoms. Now if I've to vote for Yes or No without justification, I would say NO considering the present social picture of India.

Ab Montu Bolega- The Power of Voice to Clean India!!!

Cleanliness is next to Godliness. We all know this and we have been told this golden truth in our childhood days. Till then why do we clean our home but throw the garbage over the street? Why to we smoke the cigarette and throw the leftover bud on the street? Why do we throw the plastic packets of snacks from the window of a running bus? Why do we urinate on footpath walls or defecate on rail lines? These are only a few example how we are making our country dirty. There are many more of such offenses. Many western foreigners look down at our country only because we keep it so dirty. Let us raise voice and make our country clean. After all a clean country can give birth to healthy citizens.

I am tired of seeing my neighbors throwing plastic packets and other domestic waste products not only on the neighborhood streets but also into the drain. How disgusting! On throwing garbage into the drain it gets blocked, spilling its dirty contents over the lanes. It can spread diseases to local people. I have already talked with the local club to arrange a monthly meetings regarding the same. In the meeting we shall discuss about right ways of dumping waste materials of our houses and what are the ill effects those result from careless throwing of garbage. May be it will be a good idea to keep an award like “Environment's friend of the month” which will be awarded randomly to persons who'll be spotted working towards the cause.

Another issue which bothers me is the urination and defecation at inappropriate places! I had blogged on open defecation hazards. That was more due to lack of knowledge and resources in rural population. But urinating shamelessly on public places is unforgivable and usually committed by educated population. Alas it is more shameful! I do not know exactly what more I can do to solve open defecation problem other than trying to educate people, as I live in a city. But regarding the shameless urination habit I will take a tough stand. Whenever I'll spot a person urinating in public space I will take a mobile photo of the person and threaten him to post it in internet if I find him repeating the same act again. If my time permits I'll go for detailed counseling of that person so that he won't dare to piss in open ever again.

Only we can make or break the hygiene of India and being good citizens I believe we should work together for making it a cleaner and better country. We should not only preach but also practice and set example before wrong doers. We can form social groups to discuss, plan and sort out cleanliness issues. Let us raise voice for making our country clean.

This is an entry for #AbMontuBolega campaign organized by Reckitt Benckiser India Limited in association with Indiblogger! This campaign believes in the power of voice to clean India. This campaign wants us to raise our voices against unhygienic issues, dirty systems and greedy authorities to make a difference. I salute such an inspiring campaign. Couples need to bring back the touch!!!

It was their 3rd marriage anniversary. Like every other day Rita woke up at 5:30 in the morning to prepare Rahul's office tiffin. There was some expectation from her side as a caring housewife to be wished “happy anniversary” by her man but from deep within she was afraid. The reason for her hidden fear was her experiences so far with Rahul in last three years. He had always managed to forget their anniversary dates and her birthday too. His excuse has always been his weak memory. Rita is a very soft natured woman and she hardly demands or even stands up for anything. So, it always ended up with a “sorry darling, it won't happen again” type of casual apology.

In the breakfast table they had some random talks regarding house bills and newspaper but nothing close to their anniversary crept up. He left with a routine bye. Rita's eyes were wet but silent as always. In the middle of the day she got call from her maternal house and also from her friends. They seemed more excited in her marriage anniversary than she herself was! She thanked all of them dryly and struggled the whole day to keep Rahul and his indifference out of her mind. Obviously she didn't forgive him.

Rahul returns late at night, sometimes after ten. It was one such day. There was not even a single call from him in the entire day. Rita kept his dinner covered on the table and went to bed early, perhaps to avenge against her husband's whole act of insincerity. Rahul keeps a duplicate key to their apartment. She was pretending to sleep and following Rahul's footsteps with attentive ears. She sensed him approaching towards the bed. Her heart beats increased. He caressed her locks and planted a kiss on her cheek. “Did you think I forgot our anniversary darling like every other year?”, he spoke softly near her ear. She got up from the bed in excitation. She didn't know how to react to this unexpected moment. There were drops of tear in her eyes. Rahul embraced her tightly. Their anniversary took a new colour!

Let us Stop Open Defecation in our country!!!

It is a great matter of relief for us that reputed company like Unilever Foundation and Domex have joined hands with Unicef to help improve access to basic sanitation for millions of people in India where open defecation is one of the biggest challenge to health! About 597 million people defecate in open and open defecation makes them susceptible to the attack various disease causing microbial organisms like bacteria, amoeba and viruses. Due to weak body functions children like Babli are more prone to these diseases. Shockingly fact sheets suggest that 20% of death of children under 14 years of age are due to improper sanitation and poor hygiene! It is more scary to know that in such scenario, less than 6% of rural children in India under 6 years of age use toilet facilities which allows us to deduce that rest 94% defecate in open fields! Let us spread awareness of the health hazards of open defecation and add up to the noble Domex Initiative.

As I mentioned before, more than 94% of village kids like Babli are defecating in open, they are subjected to dangerous bacterial, viral and worm infections. Diarrhea and worm infection being two common diseases affecting school going children, 443 million school days are lost every year! Not only education is affected. Ill health causes malnutrition and stunting to these affected children. We can feel the gravity of this social health problem by the data that 215,000 children under five years of age die from diarrhea alone every year and India has highest number of under-5 death globally! It is time to act my friends. Let us save our future generation from the curse of this age old habit of open defecation. Let us work together to give them a better future, a healthier tomorrow, a hygienic country to grow.

Millennium development goal aims at basic sanitation, toilets, latrines and hand wash and at our current rate of progress facts suggest we would be able to cover just 67% of the target goal. So, we need to focus more and speed up improvement on sanitation sector in our country. CATS (community approaches to total sanitation) programs by Unicef focus on advocating demands for sanitation at the community level. We can volunteer in CATS by educating the community about the scenario of open defecation in our country so that open defecators stop defecating in open out of a sense of responsibility and concern, not merely for temporary eyewash. Mass media must be involved to bring about a greater turnover on our effort. We can take peaceful goodnight sleep when Open Defecation Free status is achieved, the day when each and every Indian family would use its own toilet facility and no Babli has to fall sick by defecating in the open.

Let us act. You can bring about the change in the lives of millions of kids, thereby showing your support for the Domex Initiative. All you need to do is “click” on the “Contribute Tab” on www.domex.in and Domex will contribute Rs.5 on your behalf to eradicate open defecation, thereby helping kids like Babli live a dignified life.

A healthy child makes a happy home!!!

A healthy child makes a happy home. Truly said. We only say and partially believe things which sound good until we get those from our personal experience. Now my son is 8 years old, so he is a boy going to be a young man in few more years. But my former statement holds true for him too up till now. By grace of almighty my son is quite healthy and doesn't get frequent illnesses but when he gets once in a blue moon our entire house, i.e. our small but happy family of three becomes so dull and the joyful environment becomes like a hospital gloomy space. Here I'll recall a past incidence to show you how a healthy child makes a happy home.

My son Mohan was 3 years old then, he was in nursery. It was our anniversary day, our fifth marriage anniversary. We wanted to celebrate in a big way, inviting some fifty colleagues, fifty friends and fifty relatives for an evening party at home. Arrangements were made long before as you can understand receiving about hundred and fifty guest is not a cake walk. People used to invite three of us for various occasions till then. It was getting an one sided affair of being invitees and never being able to invite them back at our place which was bugging both of us for a long time. It was not exactly paying back a debt like feeling but you must also show your love to people who value you right? So this time we were ready and desperate to be generous hosts! Just two days back Mohan got diarrhoea, not those simple loose stool episodes but the fiery ones where the child gets really dehydrated. We had to admit him to a good nursing home and always be by his side. Doctor had told nothing much to worry but different blood tests and stool tests had to be done to exclude possible bad diseases. Luckily Mohan had no fever. Either Sujata, my wife or I used to stay with him 24 hours in the nursing home on alternate basis. Our anniversary program was in 2 days but we were least concerned about it. Yet it was a deadly feeling to postpone it by calling over hundred guests. It was our personal headache so why would others be involved in it, not at all fair. So my brother in law came to our place and took charge of organizing the event the way we wanted to do things. On that very morning the blood reports of Mohan came and he was free from any hidden infections or diseases. Diarrhoea had subsided by then. Doctor agreed to discharge our kid. We were on cloud nine and feeling back the vibe of the celebration again and that was the day we realised how a healthy child makes a happy home!!! Everything had went well that evening and thanks to my good brother in law.

DaburChyawanprash given to children increases their ability to fight illnesses by three times as proven by clinical and pre-clinical studies as it contains time tested natural ingredients which are only healthy. Consider it for your kid and also yourselves. Take care and Happy Diwali.

Univercell experience at Bangalore sync digital store!!!

It was a pleasure to visit the Univercell sync showroom at CMH Road, Indiranagar, Bangalore on 24th of this month. A big thanks to Indiblogger for giving such opportunity and another bigger thanks to Univercell for inviting bloggers to experience the amazing digital world of 1233 square feet, demarcated into different zones like music, imaging, utility, social, kids corner etc.

Univercell is the first mobile retailer to introduce live stores and first Indian mobile retailer with ISO 9000-2001 certification. Univercell is also first mobilephone retailer in India to launch sync squad, a tech support team to offer device setup support at customer's doorstep, isn't that amazing? Univercell is the only mobile phone retailer member of India's largest multiparty loyalty program. Had I not visited their store at Indiranagar I never would knew these benefits of Univercell. They enrich customers by understanding their needs and recommending comprehensive mobility solutions at free of cost!!!

I found the Univercell sync store synergistic but not officious, making it look both pleasant and enriching! Exploring each zone, as I mentioned before of the division, I could interact with items and judge which device suits my need and according to it I could buy a phone. Best way! In touch table I could compare mobiles, view them in 360 degree angles and watch videos about them like we do in youtube! Also there was a zone where upcoming devices can be experienced!!! What I found was sync store allows customers to play with different gadgets, facilitating a out-and-out experience before making an advised judgement! It seemed that Univercell is distinguished by the value additions they spontaneously create to make the customer's life comfortable.

I buy many things online and they are blind gambles as no chance of seeing the product and in market shops they hardly let you see more than few mobiles before buying. Why not give Univercell a try and experience the world class technology with their eager to help executives and staffs? I liked my visit very much and surely buy my next mobile from there.

My Super Phone born for Old Age India!

A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know that the world hadn't ended.”- Batman had told this to police inspector Jim Gordon in The dark Knight Rises. So true man! Unfortunately my willpower and upbringing has not been so steady and solid like Bruce Wayne (Batman) so I can't imagine myself serving much sacred purposes on my own. I know we're living in an age of technology where our morning is alarmed by a cellphone ring and night is ended with internation soccer match on a smart TV. So I want my mobile phone to do this honor, vesting it with a superpower to serve human race. I will be there like a silent but watchful guardian, directing and channelizing my mobile phone's special gift.
Let's assume, impressed by my simplicity and inclination for righteousness, God Brahmma has blessed my phone with with a power to help aged people in trouble! I had lost my grandparents in childhood so I always missed their presence. May be that is the reason, old people in trouble, be it on road or neighborhood, bothers me. I see, as a human being gets old, his talks seem irrelevant to his offspring, actions seem intolerable and presence seems a headache. It is not only the financial problem he or she suffers from, it is the isolation and abandonment that destroys him! It is not the disease of old age but the feeling of desolation and hopelessness that kill most of aged people in our country. Many die even without notice of others because of the lack of ability to communicate or lack of reciprocation from the other end! So my superpower endowed mobile phone will start beeping whenever a old guy is in crisis, be it inability to cross the street or urge of defecation when nobody is there to help him to go to latrine. My phone's big display will show me the exact location of the person in need with voice assisted guidance to reach the person. You must be wondering how shall I sustain my life if I start helping hundred or thousand aged people by reaching them individually. Right. My phone's superpower will have that provision too. Till my objective is complete it'll freeze the time and after my mission of helping an old person is over it'll restore me with previous energy level so that I can resume my normal life. After all I am a common man too who fears the responsibility of a superhero! In most cases, it's not money but mere companionship and counseling that will sort out problems of old people in my radar. And when money is required to solve the issue, time will be frozen anyway so I will have enough time to think and overcome the old man's crisis. Brahmma Ji bless my super phone till eternity!
I cordially thank Asus for releasing their Zenfone series in India and giving me this opportunity to talk about the problems of older age group in our country. Whatever I talked was a much welcome fantasy but the features in Zenfone are real and no less than superpowers, with Intel processor, HD display, Gorilla glass, Pixel master camera, newest version of android, long battery life and what not and at amazing low prices which a common man can afford!!! I wish all the best to Asus Zenfone and pray God for wellbeing of all old individuals in this earth.

My beautiful food - Breakfast Poha in a Borosil Mixing Bowl!

The beaten rice has put on weight, may be effect of its neighbouring peanuts giving me full grins. The curry leaves settled discretely over the content of the transparent borosil mixing bowl are adding weightage to worldwide ‘go green’ campaign. Some green chillies are playing hide and seek. Onions have totally mixed up with the beaten rice as if they were born to marry. Leaving apart the visual delight, the aroma of the hot Poha is good enough to salivate anybody waiting for his breakfast!

I will take my share of neatly cooked Poha and along with it I will also help you to learn how to make tasty Poha for morning breakfast. Listen to me attentively dear friends. My beautiful food - Desi Hakka Noodles over an Borosil English Summer Plate!

I will describe a mouth watering Indo-Chinese cuisine in this cookery post. It’s perhaps the easiest and popular most of all Hakka preparation, so I give you no penny for guessing I’ll be talking of Hakka Noodles right here right now.

There sits an elegant full size plate over my dining table, one of those 35 pieces borosil melamine dinner set. The white plate standing out from the black background of the table glass! It’s not an empty plate; it’s full with yummy steaming noodles. On close inspection you’ll know and sense the gustatory magnetism of my self-cooked hakka noodles! The silky smooth strands of noodles holding the bits and pieces of green capsicums, orange carrots, and pale cabbages are all intact without a single breakage, perhaps symbolising its existence and continuity since ages! The gust of steam the mass of noodles releasing may resemble to a foodaholic, the long accumulated fire of a hermit. There’s nothing posh in its smell but it can easily tickle the tummy of an individual who doesn’t love Chinese dishes. I surrender to her glory and succumb to the sin of caressing with my sense of gestation.

While gobbling my hakka noodles I’ll teach you how you can make it for yourself. Boil water in a sauce pan and pour hakka noodles over it from the packet, adding a spoon of sunflower oil to maintain its silky distinct curls. As the dry noodles soften in the boiling water put the sauce pan away from the flame and transfer the noodles mass onto a big sieve and hold that under running cold tap water for half a minute. Keep your finely chopped carrots, capsicums, beans, cabbages, baby corn etc ready but don’t keep them in large amount otherwise you may feel you’re taking veg sizzler instead of hakka noodles! Heat two spoon of vegetable oil in a kadai and fry your vegetable pieces for two-three minutes over medium flame. Put the cooled down noodles over the kadai and mix the whole contents with some additional tomato, chilli and soya sauce. Yes now you’re ready and you can increase its Indian flavour by garnishing it with dhania leaves! After finishing my noodles I’m amazed by the colour of the English summer floral design over my plate, even after so many years the colours haven’t faded even a little!

My beautiful food - ECED Oat Meal on a Borosil designer bowl!

All are talking of spicy mutton or paneer recipes and none has time to think of recipes to meet the gustatory need of elder age group or ill people. We need something very light yet tasty for them too and this post I’m dedicating to those unfortunate individuals who can’t pamper themselves with so called tasty Indian meals.

The first look after I cooked this meal is simple yet appealing. The submerged heads of hundreds of oat interspersed with pieces of carrots and peas fragments and fresh dhania leaves acting as umbrella to those swimming bits inside the Borosil designer bowl are inviting me in unison “Come and have us, we’re all yours”!!! Their voice is not sensual, but caring, loving and sincere, as if they’re volunteers to safeguard interests of diabetic, gastric or other ill human beings. Good thing with my borosil glassware is they can be safely used in microwave oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher! So, now I’ll tell you how I cooked my easy to cook and easy to digest Oat meal which I call with affection ECED Oat Meal!

I had heated one spoon of sunflower oil over a pan and sauted finely chopped one green chilli, flakes of half a carrot, a dozen of green peas, one small chopped onion and a clove of minced garlic. Then I added a cup of oats and fried along with the previous mixture for two to three minutes. It was followed by adding a cup of water and half spoonful of table salt. I allowed it to boil and then added a cup of milk, a pinch of peeper powder and garam masala and let it boil for another minute. Our ECED Oat Meal is ready, come and join me. Wait patiently till I garnish it with fresh green dhania leaves. Ah it smells awesome!

They say egg is a complete protein, so in this blog post I’ll describe a simple meal whose primary component is egg (Aanda)- no prize for guessing it now, it is Aanda fried Rice! Too Yummy if you are an egg lover, right??

I’m adding ½ cup of water, a pinch of table salt and a spoonful of soya sauce onto a pan and letting the water to boil. As the water starts boiling, I pour half cup of basmati rice to it and stir the mixture over flame for ten seconds. I take the pan off the flame and cover it with a lid for eight to ten minutes. Now I’m heating one spoon of sunflower oil over a frying pan in medium heat and when the oil is ready I add finely chopped onions, green beans and carrots. Ah I love the smell and gust of smell the moment I release the over the heated oil! Sauting them for two minutes gives them a golden tinge and I know it’s time to pour over those two beaten eggs. Now I’m gently frying and scrambling the egg portion. I prefer to add quater spoon of desi ghee for flavour. I’ll add the rice mixture now over this content of frying pan and mix well over flame for 20 seconds. Wow I can smell my Aanda fried rice!!!

I could actually take out my borosil’s melamine dinnerware but I found it easier for finishing up this all in one meal over a beautiful borosil pizza plate. What I’ve made is for both of us, so you too come up fast or the food will get cold. The green beans emitting the aroma of ghee, is staring at me trying to lure my hunger. The golden brown basmati rice ornamented with bits and pieces of eggs and pyramid shaped chips of carrots are teasing my tongue too. I can’t hold it anymore, I’ll sit down with my spoon. Don’t worry if you’re late and your Aanda rice gets cold, don’t worry. Because when you come I can put your plate into the microwave oven and serve you in 2 minutes, yap my borosil pizza plate is microwave friendly!!! I will cook something else in my next post.
